From Helpless to Hopeful—Maria’s Story

When Maria first joined our Women & Youth Empowerment program, she had just lost her husband and was struggling to provide for her two children. “I had no job, no income, no direction,” she said.

After completing our 12-week skills training in tailoring and receiving a micro-grant, Maria started a small business from her home. Within months, she was earning enough to feed her family and send her children to school.

Today, Maria employs two other women and runs a thriving shop. “I never imagined I could be the one helping others,” she tells us with a proud smile.

Her story is just one of hundreds we’ve witnessed through our empowerment initiatives. When you give to the Collette Foundation, you give hope—and that’s priceless.
