Upcoming Event: Collette Foundation to Visit Single Mothers at Nakivsle Refugee Camp, Congo — August 27, 2025
The Collette Foundation is honored to announce a special outreach event taking place on August 27, 2025, at the Nakivsle Refugee Camp in the Democratic Republic of Congo. This initiative is dedicated to supporting and uplifting single mothers who have shown extraordinary strength in the face of displacement and adversity.
The visit aims to provide both practical assistance and emotional encouragement to the women raising families in challenging conditions. Care packages containing food, hygiene products, and children’s essentials will be distributed, alongside sessions offering guidance in mental health care, income-generating opportunities, and parenting support.
This day will not only focus on urgent needs but also serve as a celebration of resilience, motherhood, and community. Through storytelling, shared meals, and interactive workshops, the Collette Foundation hopes to create a space where these women feel seen, heard, and valued.
“Our goal is to stand in solidarity with these mothers, reminding them that they are not forgotten — that there is a global community that cares and is ready to support their journey,” said a representative from the Collette Foundation.
The Foundation is also working closely with local partners and camp coordinators to ensure a lasting impact beyond the event, with plans to launch follow-up programs focused on education, small business support, and psychosocial care.
Stay tuned for updates as we count down to this powerful day of connection, compassion, and hope.
