When floods struck the Riverine District last year, homes were washed away, crops destroyed, and families left without shelter. The Collette Foundation responded quickly—but we knew relief alone wasn’t enough.
Our team provided immediate food, clean water, and shelter kits. But more importantly, we partnered with community leaders to launch a resilience-building plan:
- Rebuilding homes with flood-resistant materials
- Training farmers in climate-smart agriculture
- Establishing early warning systems in schools
Natural disasters will continue—but prepared communities bounce back faster. That’s our goal: to transform victims into resilient survivors, and eventually, empowered leaders.
